The research mission of the School of Aeronautics & Astronautics is produce disseminate knowledge in aerospace sciences and engineering for the benefit of our students, professions and the common good. The research by the faculty in the School is creative, diverse, collaborative, interdisciplinary and impactful.

The School has four strategic research directions:
